With contestants from countries like China, France, Italy, the U.K. and the USA, it was almost impossible for it to be boring. On top of that, it was the inaugural WSC and Singapore was hosting it. The Chinese contestants really stole the show with contestants that are younger than 10 showing up. Contestants from Korea and Taipei were also very entertaining pulling of fast and sometimes cheeky moves and without ado, may i present, images of WSC.

That's Chen Chen from China she's only 10 but she's the world number 1 in women's slalom category.

Italy's Ferrari Tiziano, world no. 7 in men's slalom category.

Singapore's very own Terence Cheung world no. 17 for ment's slalom category.

A picture with the French competitors. from left, Azri, Le Xuan(Competitor), Fanny Violeau (Competitor), Melvin, Me!

A picture of me with Ferrari Tiziano and someone else lol.

Us with Sebastien Laffargue

so that's just some of the pictures i have, hope you enjoyed reading this post. I'm terribly sorry that I haven't been updating recently. Probably cause i was always too lazy, i dunno but sometimes you feel like blogging but then the back of your mind tells you not to even though you won't be doing anything productive for the rest of the day?

Anyway, for those interested in what i've been doing instead of blogging, here's the list.

Working at sitex
Church camp-ing
Skating
Playing Call of Duty World at War (not a really good game though)
Watching top gear and a few anime series.
er...
er...

I think that's it. pretty short list but i've been spending quite a lot of time skating.

Oh yeah. World Slalom Championships started yesterday. Ending on Sunday. If you are feeling bored and have nothing to do this weekend, drop by the competition. Today it'll be at Sembawang and Tomorrow, it'll be at Velocity mall at Novena (don't really know where velocity is though) If you're coming, bring a camera.

Well that's it for today. Maybe I'll update on Monday with the WSC pictures. Today I just felt like writing a post to encourage everyone out there slogging their hearts out studying. (even though they probably won't be reading this)

As the curtains close on your secondary school life, may we all boldly proclaim that these four years have been a victory for us all, even if your grades are bad, even if you have no friends. Know this my friend, that you have impacted the lives of possibly hundreds of people, that you have woken up almost everyday in the wee hours of the morning for 4 years and the list goes on. The point is, you are already a victor in your own right but don't stop just yet as yet another set of tests approach us.

As we march on to the front lines, know this my brethren. You have worked hard and that is all that is required of you. TK has prepared us thoroughly and there is no need to panic. It is now time to look forward as we face the last battle of this act. May the knowledge that we have acquired be our swords and our experience be our shield. The feelings we had of finality, happiness, sadness all just manifested in us as a single feeling or mood in every single one of us.(i think) To me, the feelings which we had of school were captured perfectly by Azri's poem/song/rhyme, were about to be just a memory of the past.

Azri's poem

"For four years
I wake with disdain
Every day repeats
Again and again

But as I walk to class
Expecting nothing new
I see friends and happiness spreads
Like a pandemic - much like bird flu

I sit and talk
And I joke around
Imitating teachers
And their trademark frowns

We make fun of each other
And we have a good laugh
Joy then fills the air
Increasing like an exponential graph

In some classes we focus
In others we sleep
In most classes we talk
Or we stare like lost sheep

In any case
Life there was great
All thanks to the staff
The cleaners and schoolmates

The past four years
Are four I won't forget
For they are of paths crossed
With the people I met"

As i looked around at my class and TK for that matter, the silence of the school due to the lack of the sec 1,2 and 3 students felt like the school was saying goodbye to me; sad to part hence the solemness unlike other days, filled with excitement and noise. Time truly waits for no one, even best friends. Yes, i now consider TK as my friend, one that i have been seeing almost everyday for nearly 4 years. Tough not to feel attached to TK, an institution that has seen us grow.

On a lighter note, I would like to thank every single staff member of the school for the unrelenting effort they put in. You have touched my life in a way i can never explain and it would be IMPOSSIBLE to repay you for what you have done. Thank You.

Photos of the last day of school are here

http://s352.photobucket.com/albums/r350/xzone1/

Thanks for reading.

wheee-boom!

Hey guys, I know I haven't been updating recently. I've been taking a break from blogging for a while now cause I've been busy studying. For those that don't know by now, my first paper is on the 20th, that's almost 7 days from now.(since its already 11:00pm)

As promised, here are some of the pictures of the Singapore Grand Prix. Sorry for keeping some of those anxious souls waiting. F1 was phenomenal to say the least, at least if you're into the sounds as much as the speed, like me. As the cars were racing, they were so loud, you could hear the cars about 400m away at 400m away, you could hear the engines (they sound more kickass than that Lamborghini you saw drive down the street the other day) as loudly as a truck 10m away from you. As they come around the bend where you're situated, you feel an adrenaline rush and your heart is pounding (it just happens, maybe its the fear of something so loud?)As you turn your head with your eyes tracking the 1st car, the moment seems to last for at least 5 seconds when in actuality is only 1 second. Despite what you see in pictures, the car does not pass by in a blur, but you can see the car very clearly. As you turn your head back, expecting the second car, 4 cars whiz past and you are stuck in a dilemma whether to try to turn and see the 4 cars that just passed by or to ignore them and just watch out for the next car.

That was the kind of situation at the Singapore Grand Prix for me at least.

i only put up a few cause most of the other pictures didn't look good

http://s352.photobucket.com/albums/r350/xzone1/

you can get the pictures here.

F1

Hey readers! For those who didn't know by now, I have F1 passes! Got 2 sets for the weekend (that's Friday, Saturday and Sunday) For those that don't have the opportunity to go, I'll be posting up some pictures soon so that you guys can experience some of the action. World's first night race, so happy I'm gonna be there. (Imagine telling your kids/grandchildren that you were there) For now I've just got pictures of the passes, looks pretty good considering that it was probably designed by a Singaporean. For now, all I have are pictures of the passes I hope these will satisfy your apetite for now.

This is the box that the passes came in, it looks pretty high quality.

Inside the box.

Saturday's pass

Sunday's pass

I was thinking about blogging about love, something along the lines of love in an unloving world? I don't know if I should blog about it cause it may probably just make me look like some emo kid. Sorry for keeping you waiting my loyal/eager fans. (If I actually do have loyal/eager fans) So there's plenty of news this past week and this will probably be a long post probably some pictures too THERE IS A VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT AT THE BOTTOM! So lets BEGIN!

1. PRELIMS ARE OVER! (yeah its old news) Anyway, I've been busy studying for close to the past 2 weeks for the prelims so I was kinda tired/ busy to think of stuff to blog about or even just type on the keyboard.(damn, i sound lazy). In my opinion, I think I'll do well for this prelims, mainly cause I studied this time so I was able to attempt the questions confidently.

2.Relatives from Malaysia came over! Well that pretty much explains everything, spent quite some time with my cousin who came over and he was using the com so I didn't really have the computer to blog on.

3.New laptop! My dad bought a new laptop for himself , a Toshiba Satellite L310.

It was a good buy in my opinion, for $999 at Harvey Norman, he got the laptop, charger, etc...,free RAM upgrade to 3GB, laptop bag and a monochrome laser printer +toner. I don't know if this is similar to COMEX offerings but its a pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

4. PLAYSTATION 3! My brother finally bought the PS3 after a long wait. Its our first gaming console so yeah, its pretty awesome.

Its an 80GB model just if you were wondering and please don't ask me if you can come over to play it. It is NOT mine.

5. Went skating! Melvin and I went skating, planned to skate-study-skate from morning to afternoon to escape the hot sun in the afternoon and since has promos and I have O's it sounded like a good idea. Yeah, I know, 2 days after prelims and I'm studying! Anyway, we thought it would be cool in the morning, we were SOO wrong. I have a really gross picture of my belly swimming in sweat thanks to Singapore's heat and humidity but I won't put it up cause its really, really gross. If there's enough requests though I may consider putting it up. This time Mel and I decided against taking videos, just pictures, so here they are!

This is called a mistral, (moving from right to left)

This is a parallel slide, I think this was the best shot for me that day.
(once again, moving from right to left)

This is a backslide (once again, moving from right to left)

A failed backslide, pretty epic cause my right foot almost hit the kid's head (his parents saw this, the mum is the woman in white in the background) my left foot ended up just in front of his front wheel. Talk about a close shave

This is an Acid toe.

This is a fastwheel, the difference between acid toe and fastwheel is where the toe is facing. Acid is outward, away from the body while fastwheel is inward. (moving from left to right)

Thanks to Melvin who was the camera man.

6. This subject may seem unfitting for this post but, HECK! The US seems to be in bad shape economically the sub-prime crisis seems to be taking a big toll on the US economy with some experts thinking it might lead to an economic crisis on the proportions of The Great Depression. Lets just hope they were wrong but neither can you really say that they are exaggerating with so many banks collapsing especially since the Lehman Brothers (a 150+ year old bank) joined the ranks of the fallen banks and AIG fighting for its survival.

Singapore's economy is closely linked to the US economy so if an economic crisis on the scale of the Great Depression occurred in the US, could this spell an end to Singapore's years of prosperous growth? Can Singapore take such a small strike at such a young age of 43. My opinion is that Singapore can and will survive. How can I say this you ask? For the simple reason that many other countries that are now considered super powers have also encountered such crisis at a young age as well or how Israel has fathered/mothered such a nation despite the holcaust during World War II when Israel wasn't even formed yet for example. The real question that we should debate about here in my opinion, is how hard Singapore will be hit and will Singapore return to its "glory days". For these 2 questions, I cannot give a good response without having my heavily propaganda-influenced Social Studies knowledge coming to mind. Please state your opinions in the tag board if you wish.

I will be changing my blog to

www.crushingsandwiches.blogspot.com

due to popular choice and personal preference.

That's it for today, Thanks for reading this blog.

CHANGING URL!!!

Hey guys! Second time this year! Got to watch Wall.e thanks to my brother's friend who treated my family to the movie. I find that the movie was pretty cliche and I kinda knew what gonna happen, very predictable story. However, in terms of animation and graphics, it was SUPERB, depth of field, colours, fog , etc...seemed perfectly drawn and animated. The movie also had good flow but it did not have me feeling for the characters in the end which is what i would expect of a good romance story.

My rating:
7/10

For those who want to hear more about skating from me, I'm sorry to say that it won't be happening anytime soon thanks to the dreaded O's.

Oh, before i forget, I found the English prelims pretty manageable. At least in my opinion they are, on the 16th, I went to East Coast not like I don't go there often, but it was Az's 16th birthday celebration (East Coast "expedition"). Around 28 people were invited and only 5 came! Seems like people don't really like exercise that much.

Anyway, the plan was to go from East Coast (around BK) to Changi (about 15 km there and back) on bicycles. Maybe that's why very few people came? Nevertheless, we had fun. Was on last Sunday at Sembawang. Pretty much arrived when the Freestyle SLALOM Men's competition ended (came for the slide event which was next) but managed to catch world no. 14, Clarence Cheung and 17 Terence Cheung (yes they are brothers).

Made me feel proud to be Singaporean cause they are the first "true blue" Singaporeans that i have seen who have made it so well in the sports scene but get ready for the next one which I found out half an hour later. The world no. 1, 2 and 4 in Freestyle SLIDE Men, come from Singapore! Definitely wowed me at that instant.

To me the slide even for men, was incredible. Sliding is somewhat like drifting on skates, so imagine around 30 people sliding. The amount of rubber that came off after just 10 minutes of warm-up had to be swept off and when swept, formed very visible dust clouds 5 meters away. The world no. 1 really deserves to be there, although I didn't see him in the finals, his warm up runs were enough to impress me senseless. The slides he did looked impossible and without a doubt, stylish to near perfection.

Here's a video link for those who don't know what sliding is like yet.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bquY7m3MCms
and another one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mg7Y7GrC_Gc&feature=related

Another irony?

This is just a little add-on to the previous post cause i saw another irony today and guess where it was from? I know this makes complete sense but it seems like a paradox.

Dry crystals that are hydrated?

Although this is not a error, it reminded me of another paradox. The Ministry of Education wants us to be a "Thinking Society" but I don't think the current education system really encourages this. Here's an example from Geography Elective.

"How does the natural vegetation that you have identified in (a)i adapt itself to the temperature and rainfall shown in Figure 1?[6]"

The natural vegetation in (a)i is the Tropical Monsoon Rainforest (TMR) and the "[6]" indicates the number of marks allocated to the question. Since it is 6 marks, they want 6 adaptations. Problem is, the 6 adaptations are in the leaves, branches, roots, barks, PLANT DIVERSITY and FOREST DENSITY. The last 2 don't really make sense.

Let us start with the word adaptation, wikipedia says this about adaptation "An adaptation is a characteristic of an organism that has been favored by natural selection and increases the fitness of its possessor."

Plant diversity "adaptation" they are talking about is in fact that TMRs have a smaller diversity of plants compared to the Tropical Rainforest. Is this really an adaptation? Isn't it more of a result of the infrequent rain in TMRs and not an adapation? I don't think a TMR is an organism.

Forest Density in TMRs in less than Tropical Rainforests. Really just the same case as the Plant diversity. Is this really an adaptation? Isn't it more of a result of the infrequent rain in TMRs and not an adapation? I don't think a TMR is an organism.

Now, these adaptations did not come from me, but the text book. Written by GEOGRAPHERS. As though having errors in the text book wasn't bad enough, the teachers and examinations board blindly followed it. Thinking Society?

So, back to the poor student that actually thinks and understands, when he/she sees this question, he/she can only think of 4 adaptations because the other 2 aren't really adaptations. He/she knows the teachers want those 2 reasons but refuses to write it down, for if he/she does, wouldn't he have stopped thinking become a mindless, insignificant drone? In the end, he/she scores a maximum of 4 points while other mindless drones who wrote the other 2
"adaptations" scored 6. What have we just done? Believe it or not, we have just rewarded a mindless drone and discouraged those that think from thinking. Again, we must ask, is this how we are going to achieve a thinking society? To get the idea of the severity of this problem, just think about it. How many times have you questioned the textbook?

Here's something from wikipedia about the 'A' level examinations which comes from the same board as the 'O's. Most of Singapore's Junior Colleges use the 'A' levels for an indication of the level of understanding and knoweldge after 12 years of education.

"A third view is that, as schools come under increasing pressure to improve their examination results, pupils are being coached to pass specific examinations, at the expense of a general understanding of their subjects."

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair recently suggested that one state school in every county should offer the Baccalaureate as an alternative to A-levels. They have humbled themselves. Can't Singapore can follow the footsteps of Britain -The country that hosts the Cambridge Examinations board-? Singapore may have one school offering the International Baccalaurete but it is a private school. Out of sight and out of reach of the general public who will have to sit for 'A's.

On a lighter note, poll on Jam is closed seems like 78% of people don't like Jam (i.e Strawberry, grape, etc...). Interesting.

Doing what i wanna do...

Tomorrow is gonna be one of the awesome-est days ever for me. Not because its national day (okay, maybe partially) tomorrow but I don't have anything I don't like to do on. It has been the longest time since I've had Saturday free I think ever since I came to TK, there hasn't been one Saturday I've been totally free. Pretty ironic since my first Saturday off is during my sec 4 year, my 'O' level year. Anyway, plan to spend it skating. So you can expect an image-heavy post or a video soon.

In other news, we had National Day Celebrations in school today and we got SOO high <s>on booze</s> cause it is gonna be our last National Day Celebration in TK. Just trying to make the best of it. Thanks to all the teachers who planned this year's National Day Celebration. The new way of doing it is way better and I hope that it will remain this way for the future cohorts to enjoy.

Blame me not.

Sunday has come and those that frequent this blog would know by now that Sunday's post is usually about skating and indeed it is the truth today. Met Azri at 1530 today and went to Marine Parade block 6 skating at the void deck and later went to block 8. Why? cause skating corner @ East Coast Park is occupied by some inconsiderate company which thought that it would be great if they took 90% of the place for skating lessons even though it is a public place. Anyway today's post is not about that company. Az left around 6, Melvin came shortly after.
As if skating with my skates wasn't tough enough, 2 of my wheels gave way today and 1 gave way last week and i haven't replaced it , so yeah, as anyone would expect, skating with 3 wheels missing kinda sucked. Oh well :/

Here's a video of Mel and I fooling off. Pretty embarrassing stuff. (go google it if you must) Yeah i know its old news but that's exactly it. Its OLD NEWS! 9 years on and we are still holding onto that? Singapore is supposed to be a progressive society yet 9 years on, we are installing air-conditioning in our hall; even at the peak of an oil price hike and the peak of environmental awareness of global warming. Let me just say this, AIR-CONDITIONING USES A LOT OF ENERGY!

If i am not wrong, in order to have good governance, we must "anticipate change and stay relevant." Shouldn't it be the same for schools especially government-funded schools? The government is promoting using less air-conditioning so that we can be "greener" (just turn on your television to channel 5 for half an hour and you'll see what i mean) Yet our school is not following suit.

Another guiding principle for good governance is "doing what is right and not what is popular" obviously this is not being implemented here in TK. I am sure saving the environment is the right thing to do. However, the school has decided against it and done what is popular with the students and installed the air-conditioning.

I've talked about 2 of the 4 guiding principles we learnt in Social Studies and the obviously school failed both. At this rate, i think the school will have difficulty succeeding. The school leadership should seriously re-evaluate what is most important and I am sure allowing students to sit for exams in air-conditioned halls while children in Africa rest on wooden boards in hospital, without a fan let alone air-conditioning is not it.

Favouritism?

I'll be blogging about the Racial Harmony Day "saga" today as I have promised. Here goes!

Racial Harmony Day (RH Day) celebrations in my school were held on Wednesday (23rd June 2008). No lessons, half day and only a test for Secondary 4's after school. "What a great opportunity to skip school/come 2-4 hours late!" thought many people. Mr Koh told us that the people that came late would be getting punishment and would not be let off easily. Wednesday came and ~100 people from secondary 4 came late/ did not come at all.

The next day, Thursday, those who skipped school on Wednesday were called forth during morning assembly . Most of the people who did it bravely stepped forward without coaxing. (at least that's what I hope) They got yelled at by Mr Tan Kee Ho and Ms Mildred Yap (are the spelling and title correct?).

(In this paragraph, the information is from a friend who came late on Wednesday) Then they got detention till 2PM in the hall so they missed classes, they had to do a reflection form. On top of that, the students' School Graduation Certificate will be affected, students taught by Ms Mildred Yap would not get their exercises and tests marked by her and students in Principal's Honours List who skipped will get their names struck off!

Subsequently on Friday, Mr Koh asked those who skipped school on Wednesday to come forth during morning assembly while everyone else returned to class . Including those who had parent's letters "hiding behind Mommy and Daddy" as Mr Koh called it. (Dunno what happens after this but they return to class shortly after.)

But this is not what makes me peeved even though the punishment seems a little too extreme.
What I am really peeved about is how it seems that certain students are being favoured and given an "unfair advantage". The favouritism was VERY obvious during this RH Day thing.

Certain people had their parent's protecting them and had parents write letters of excuse for them but what was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE was that certain people could simply pass a parent's letter and be excused without the teacher even reading it while the majority of the students had to be held back 1-2 hours before they could have the opportunity to give the letter to the teachers and even then were not excused. Favouritism? NAH, CAN'T BE.

What's more, these people had to be "dragged out" to give their letters. No courage to step up even though they did have an excuse from mom/dad or no courage to face the punishment cause they knew they were guilty of skipping for fun?

I even over heard someone trying to protect the person who skipped by asking the chairman not to call the person forward. Please do not lie to yourself, do you really think you're helping him/ her?

It really pisses me off that these people get to get away Scot-free. There really isn't any justice in this world is there?

Finally on Friday when Mr Koh called those who were "hiding behind by Mommy and Daddy", guess what? These people did not step up, some even had teachers PERSONALLY approach them to move forward they ignored the teacher AND they did not get yelled at. Interesting.
I heard later that they laughed while walking by the brave ones that came up and were sitting on the floor. Don't you feel like slapping / punching them?

Could really just go on and on about this but i think i'll stop here for today.

Here's a random picture to make things a little interesting.

For you NCC (sea) guys

Progress

Went skating today with Melvin and Azri. Throat infection i think, at least the fever's subsided. Skipped school on Friday and i am pretty bummed out about it. Why? Cause I missed PE, that's not where the problem lies though. Problem is, we're having Racial Harmony day on Wednesday so there are no lessons on Wednesday but my next PE class is on Wednesday. Bummer.

Oh yeah, i also sabo-ed Jamie to be the co-class leader for our class's "Be Our Guest" project along with surprise, surprise...Zahran and we're doing something concerning Homosexuality. Just realised that we are one of the few UG's, if not the only UG that has overnight stays when the sec4s "retire". My "finest hour" has passed and i am still filled with emotions. As i watched the customary video of us since we were sec 1 till now. I realised how much we changed, bonded and maybe even fell "accidentally in love" with each other. 3.5 years has been a long time and i am so glad i didn't waste it in some other CCA. As i took of the badges from my no. 3 and put it in the laundry basket, it struck me, i was taking off my badges for the last time and probably never going to wear my no.3 anymore. It was like everything was being kept for good not only in my cupboard but in my heart, mind and soul. NCC will now just seems like a very long, sweet dream. Just wanna dedicate this to all you TK NCC (sea) guys.
P.S. NCC guys please shout this together with me in your mind.

PART DEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
HUUUUU YAAA PART DEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Service Award , smerwise award

Just in case you thought I was bitching about not getting a service award, I actually do have one but this post is dedicated to those who did not get one. Cheer up. Sure Service Awards look good on a resume but do you want to work for someone else your whole life, making him richer? Service Awards just show that that person is good at service. Everyone is gifted, but there are only limited service awards to be given. If you don't have one, don't despair continue what you do best. It'll pay off. Pretty sad. Tomorrow is NCC day, feels like a kick in the head reminding me, "Its not gonna last" cause the secondary fours are not present even though they are still in power. Stepping down next week. I can really feel all that power just vanishing. I'm really gonna miss NCC both being a cadet and being an instructor. All those push ups, shouting, pushing yourself all coming to an end. The curtains are closing on my secondary school performance and being able to just peek through the gaps of the curtains seems really saddening.

My sec 2 cadets

Edmund and I at Perak for white water rafting with NCC

*zombie sounds*

Yup, school has started and what a WONDERFUL way to start it with a test until 1713! On top of that, the timetable was changed its simply THE BEST! We have 1 hours 10 minutes of maths with Mrs Fu and after that another 1 hour 10 minutes or additional maths with Mr Kang on Monday. You know what kind of mental distress that can give you? We also have 2 hours and 20 minutes of Biology. simply perfect.

Feel like bitching about the changes in our school right now so if you're not interested, RUN! Those people who know me should already know how I feel about the school. The school is changing, but it think its changing in the wrong way. Please understand that I know change is important for progress I just think that its going to the wrong way and i think we both know who's responsible for it. When i came to Tanjong Katotng Secondary School with a PSLE score of 257 (That was pretty high at that time, possibly the highest in my cohort in TK) in 2005, I came to this school not because it had an air-conditioned auditorium and x number of computer labs. When i came ot this school I felt a culture, The TK culture, it was unique to TK. You could feel the warmpth of the seniors, the strive to do well despite the fact that we didn't have a fancy name like Raffles or Victoria. We had a name that sounded like any other neighborhood school "Tanjong Katong" simple and malay-ish. Reminds you of kampongs and Singapore culture and the school lived up to it. It was friendly and you felt safe. Your closest friends would be your classmates or CCA friends there was no need for some silly house system to bond us together.
In my opinion, i think that TK is becoming like any other school. I think that we are becoming less unique. We can maintain our unique TK spirit while progressing. I'll give an example on how TK is becoming like any other school. We have an air-conditioned hall now, I know you're thinking, 'but its not common for schools to have air-conditioned halls." Correct but i would like to ask you, "How many schools dream of having an air-conditioned hall?" We can be unique by not having an air-condition hall.

On the topic of the air conditioned hall, are we attracting the right kind of students with this air-conditioned hall? In my opinion, not the right kind. The people that this would matter to would be those lazy, spoilt kids; no doubt they may score 290 for PSLE but let us think about those before us. Those that came to TK with lower scores but worked hard for their O's. TK was built on these hardworking students and i think that if lazy students come to TK, TK is doomed. I think that having an air-conditioned hall is not a good decision by the school. We all know how freezy the auditorium can get in one hour. Now think about sitting for a two hour exam in the auditorium that's that its gonna be like in the hall when we take our O's this year. If you bring in a jacket to warm yourself up, what's the point of having air-conditioning? Let me remind you that air-conditioning the hall requires A LOT of energy with oil at $140 per barrel. I don't think it will be very wise. This unneccessary oil usage is what's pushing the demand up like nobody's business even though it is. Also, with global warming taking taking its effect thanks to all the fossil fuel that's being burnt soon even more energy is needed to cool the hall. I am totally against the air-conditioned hall and i hope you agree with my opinion.

Sorry about the extremely long post. Usually i am a very light sleeper and wake up pretty easily. I bet some of you are thinking "that must so great to wake up easily so you can't oversleep and save you the "pai-sei-ness" of being late." I guess its kinda good but its irritating cause sometimes i'll wake up after only 3 hours of sleep too refreshed to fall asleep but too sleepy to do any work.

Anyway, tomorrow is the first day of term 3. Choir folks won't be in school cause of the Russia trip <s>and the band only gets to go to KL HA! in your face!</s> Gonna turn into a zombie tomorrow! (Yup that's what TK does to you) but I think this holiday has been a really great break from school you'll only understand if you're from TK sec 4.

Went skating yesterday. Changed my wheels to rocker setup; that means that the two centre wheels are larger than the two outer ones. Its a second hand Salomon Motion 9 its a actually meant to be used as a speed skating trainer. Not too good for freestyle slide but still usable. Served me pretty well. Good for speed but bad for freestyle. extremely easy to put on as well.
Here's a picture of a brand new side.

In comparison..

yup there's a hole

Applied epoxy resin to protect my skates from getting another hole. It was exaggerated and inaccurate to say the least. CG was good (you could see the Hulk's veins pulsating in 1 scene) . Fight scenes were good but i think there were too few fight scenes considering that its an action movie (only two considerable fight scenes). type='text'>Crushing sandwiches

If you're wondering why the name of my blog is "crushing sandwiches", no I don't partake in consuming or creating crushed sandwiches . I don't know why I called it that either. As for my url, i was inspired by a friend.

This blog is gonna be about <s>anything random</s> what I deem worthy of being on this sacred place. So trashy emo kids BEWARE! You will find no emo-ness here! Now run along kids; as for the real men. "TONIGHT, WE DINE IN HELL!!!"

I am <s>that man hiding in you're closet</s> a fourteen year old student in Tanjong Katong Secondary School. I skate, freestyle slide skating if you were wondering and studying for my O's is just a distraction. I am in the BEST CCA ever and that's NCC (sea). That's right band you're not the best remember? <s>"the best display band of the year award goes to....."</s>

Thanks for reading my first blogpost. you are watching history in the making!
